We (might) finally know how tall Elden Ring’s Erdtree is
If you’ve ever been hit Elden’s Ring If you accidentally hit yourself as a boss or trying to play, you’ll know the Earth Tree. It is this gigantic glowing tree that draws power directly from the Elden Ring and stands at the heart of Leyndell. From his point of view, he clearly dominates the surrounding mountains and hills. I mean, it’s a really big tree.
But how big is the really huge Earth Tree? Well, thanks to YouTuber Zullie Witch, at least we can guess.
It’s clear, scientifically speaking, that this stuff is incredibly voluminous, as different parts can be explored. As Zullie points out, you can see trees “dominating” the landscape anywhere on the map. However, these bits compare the sizes of different parts of the tree.
The stem appears to continue hundreds of feet below the surface and has branches cut off at the top but extending beyond that point. According to their measurements, the Earth Tree is about 5,048 meters, or about 16,562 feet, from the bottom (underground) to the highest junction.
In perspective, it’s a nice chunk of Mount Everest (about 29,000 feet) high. Or about 15.3 Eiffel Towers (1,083 feet tall when measured to the top) or 3,365 Danny DeVitos (4’10 inches according to the internet).
Of course, the actual height of the tree above the ground is slightly different and depends on where you can stand next to it. According to Zullie’s calculations, this could reduce altitude by about 1,000 meters (or about 2,000 feet). Nevertheless, we all agree that: all tree.

We (might) finally know how tall Elden Ring’s Erdtree is
If you’ve ever tried to beat a Ring of Elden bosses or you accidentally hit yourself while trying to play, then you’re familiar with the Erdtree. It is this great luminous tree that draws its power directly from the Elden Ring and stands in the center of Leyndell. Looking at it, it clearly dominates the surrounding mountains and hills. That is to say, it is a really huge tree.
How big is the really, incredibly tall Erdtree, though? Well, thanks to YouTuber Zullie the Witch, we have at least some estimates.
With different parts you can explore, it’s clear that the thing is, scientifically speaking, fucking massive; as Zullie notes, you can see the tree “dominating” the landscape from every part of the map. But these bits offer a comparison of the sizes of different parts of the tree.
The trunk seems to continue for hundreds of meters below the surface, and although it cuts off at the top, there are branches that extend beyond this point. According to their measurements, from the very base (subterranean) of the Erdtree to the highest branching point, it is approximately 5,048 meters high, or approximately 16,562 feet.
To put that into perspective, that’s a good chunk of the height of Mount Everest (about 29,000 feet). Alternatively, you can think of it as about 15.3 Eiffel Towers (1,083 feet tall, if you measure to the tip) or 3,365 Danny DeVitos (4’10”, according to the internet) stacked on top of each other.
Of course, the actual height of the tree above the ground is a bit different, and it kind of depends on where you can stand next to it. This could reduce the height by around 1,000 meters (or around 2,000 feet) according to Zullie’s calculations. Even still, we can all agree: wholesale tree.
