What is an .ODT file?

How to Open an ODT File

ODT files are created with OpenOffice Writer, so your best bet is to use the same program. However, you can also open ODT files in LibreOffice Writer, AbiSource AbiWord (download the Windows version), Doxillion, and many other free text editors.

Google Docs and Microsoft Word Online can open ODT files online and you can also edit them there.

If you use Google Docs to edit your ODT file, you must first upload it to your Google Drive account using: new > file upload menu. ODT files opened with Microsoft Word Online are saved to OneDrive, but you can initiate uploads. outside A Word Online site as opposed to Google Docs.
